Rescue Me's mission is to stop the needless euthanization of millions of animals each year by helping more people adopt dogs, cats and other animals from individuals, families, shelters and rescue groups needing to place them in an emergency. Rescue Me! has saved the lives of tens of thousands of animals, and more than 3,000 people have posted "Success Story" letters on the Rescue Me! Blog. Animals saved range from dogs and cats to horses, rabbits, birds, turtles and more. In addition, Rescue Me! operates a "retirement home" for elderly and sick animals at its Animal Rehabilitation Center located on 135-acres. Those animals too old or ill to easily get adopted live out their days taking pack walks up to three miles every day through forests and meadows, frequently stopping to play in creeks and springs.www.rescueme.org/donate
