Grassroot Movement in Nepal is an all-volunteer 501 © 3 non-profit organization headquartered in New York. It has renovated more than 15 schools in Nepal in just over last two years. With support from chapters in Nepal, UK, Finland and Hongkong, GMIN has also sponsored education of many deserving students, hired and trained teachers, donated clothes and stationery to thousands of Nepali students. We have taken extra steps to empower girls and women in our society by granting scholarships to more girls and by launching women empowerment programs. GMIN prides itself in being transparent, organized, and maintaining a start-up culture that allows us to quickly adapt and innovate. Your support will be instrumental in our quest in educating the future of Nepal and help our country walk on a path to sustainable development.

Over 55 years ago - before the first school in Khumjung Village in Nepal was built, my late grandfather wrote a petition to the King of Nepal, "Our children have eyes but they are blind" and all the village children signed on the petition. Times have changed and there are charities like GMIN and other charities who play a big role in providing support & education to remote regions of Nepal which will lead to development of mind and development of the society. Thank you.

I have visited the schools GMIN has built. they not only building schools, they also organize vocational trainings to locals. They do teachers training, they sponsors students, and they have been actively contributing in the region of nepal where people suffered Earth quake last year. Please vote for this Org,, As they are completely volunteer basis,, 0% administrative cost.
