MILL DOG RESCUE NETWORK

National Mill Dog Rescue rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes discarded breeding dogs and educates the general public about the cruel realities of the commercial dog breeding industry. Theresa Strader started Mill Dog Rescue Network (later changed to National Mill Dog Rescue) in 2007 after experiencing a dog auction and rescuing Lily, the inspirational start of NMDR. To date, National Mill Dog Rescue has rescued over 6,600 dogs from puppy mills throughout the country and rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes about 60 dogs each month. The documentary, I Breathe, is based on the story of NMDR and Lily, the inspirational puppy mill survivor. National Mill Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Colorado.
